LinkedIn Jobs sits inside the world's largest professional network, with more than a billion members. It suits office, technical and leadership roles best. Your job reaches people who aren't actively searching, and candidates can check your company and team before they apply.
LinkedIn job posting pricing
- Free job post. Each member can have one free job post active at a time, and it must be linked to a company LinkedIn Page. It is active for 14 days, then pauses; if you don't promote or close it, it closes after 30 days. Free posts get less visible over time and pause after an applicant limit, typically 10 to 30 applications.
- Promoted job. You set a daily or total budget and pay per click on the job post. LinkedIn recommends a budget for each job and won't charge more than you set. You aren't charged for your own views or for repeat views. A promoted job runs until the budget runs out, you close it, or six months pass.
A few rules catch people out. Reposting the same job title for the same company within 7 days requires promotion. Agencies can't post for free. A promoted job can't go back to being free.
Companies that hire all year can buy job slots on a contract. LinkedIn doesn't publish those prices.
How to post a job on LinkedIn
- Make sure your company has a LinkedIn Page.
- Click the Jobs icon and choose Post a free job.
- Enter the job title, then write the description or paste your own.
- Add screening questions and decide how you want to receive applicants: on LinkedIn, or on your own careers page.
- Choose to promote the job with a budget, or post it for free.
Getting more from LinkedIn with a Jobspage careers page
With one free slot, LinkedIn works best for the role where its audience matters most. For every other role, share the link to your Jobspage careers page in a regular LinkedIn post from you and your team. People who see it in their feed go to the full job and apply there, so all your applicants stay in one pipeline.
If you'd rather have applicants from a LinkedIn job post apply off LinkedIn, set the apply link to your Jobspage job page, so those applications land in the same pipeline too.
